Call for Papers

LCPM7 is organized around the seven topic areas listed below. The conference will consist of five plenary sessions comprised of invited papers, a panel discussion, and poster sessions consisting of contributed papers in the topic areas. The seven conference topics are:

  • Session 1: National and International Planetary Exploration Programs
  • Session 2: Recent Science Discoveries
  • Session 3: Mission in Operation
  • Session 4: Learning from the Past - Lessons for the Future: A Panel Discussion
  • Session 5: Mission in Definition or Development
  • Session 6: Science Instruments for the Future
  • Session 7: Advanced Concepts for Future Low-Cost Planetary Missions (Poster Only)

Invited speakers are asked to submit abstracts for the session where they will be presenting.

Posters are invited on the following session topics:

  • Session 2: Recent Science Discoveries
  • Session 3: Mission in Operation
  • Session 5: Mission in Definition or Development
  • Session 6: Science Instruments for the Future
  • Session 7: Advanced Concepts for Future Low-Cost Planetary Missions

Information on how and where to submit abstracts is available on the Conference Page after logging in. Please note that the deadline for abstract submission is August 24, 2007. The preferred format for submission of abstracts is MS Word. To the extent possible, please avoid any figures or complex mathematical expressions in the abstract. Due to time constraints only invited papers will be accepted as oral presentations. All posters that are accepted will be eligible for inclusion in the proceedings. A notice of poster acceptance will be sent to authors by August 31, 2007.
